Zarove, Reagan contributed not much more than hot air. Pope John Paul II was by far the individual who contributed most to the downfall of Communism in Europe and the USSR. (Remembering that Communism is far from "fallen" and is still a vicious persecutor of the Church in China, N Korea, Vietnam and elsewhere.)
