How can our school become knowngreenspun.com : LUSENET : Catholic : One Thread |
I almost asked "how can our achool gain acceptance" but that's not what we're about. Being traditional and not following modern trends makes us sort-of shunned by many. Visit our web-site to see what we're all about. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

"Being traditional and not following modern trends makes us sort-of shunned by many."Nothing wrong with being traditional! Your school looks great. If only I lived close enough to send my kids to it.

Larry Grenier--Larry, Awesome looking School and the Kids look full of the Life. No smile for the camera you little rug rats looks, All genuine!
If you are looking for a way to market your school and values, If it was me I would seriously consider taking this approach.
Please ads in weekly bulletins at the mainstream (sorry for the term) Parishes.
Logic to this approach is:
#1 You have a high volume of catholic families.
#2 Grandma and Grandpa and some moderately older people Remember the more traditional church, And the values & morals associated with society at that time. ( not to mention they tend to have the money to pay so the parents can't use that as a cop-out).
#3 You have families already committed to the Catholic Schools but may want something even more Holy to instill even deeper values and morals for the kids.
#4 Don't be afraid to use St. Lucia you can still keep the Latin name in lower reference, This merely make identification as Catholic easier for the Younger Families. Otherwise the may back off because they don't understand who Sancta Lucia is or what kind of School you are. Remember you only have a few seconds for people to recognize what they see otherwise they will continue to scan over to the next ad.
#5 It should be easier on the Budgets as well.
Eitherway, I pray for your tremendous success and outreach which will follow.

Replace (Please) with Place.Got room for one older student?

Thanks for responding folks. We have a few "mainstream" families now. One problem is that our area is full of "conservative" Catholics. We are traditional. A conservative is often merely a slow-moving liberal. We manage to pay most of our bills on time so we remain fighting the good fight. Pray that we can continue.
