Hey guys,

I have recently acquired a Panasonic WV-D5000, and a D5100HS camera. I have been looking around for used AG-7400 SVHS VTR's to use with them and they are pretty pricey. Does anyone know if it would be possible for me to just use one of the Sony U-Matic recorders with these cameras since they are so cheap and plentiful? It would seem like I would end up with a much better output since both the cameras are digital and the Umatic is a much higher quality recording medium.

I would really appreciate any help any of you tech gurus could give me on this.
