Does your denomination fail to teach you about the deadly sin of "presumption"?

You seem to have not yet read the huge amount of scriptures that show clearly that you have no assurance of salvation. As many one-time Christians have done, you too could radically turn away from God and choose eternal separation from him at any moment between the time you read this and the time you die. If you now make the mistake of saying that you cannot turn away from him, you would deny your own free will and make yourself into a puppet.

Therefore, if you are now in the state of sanctifying grace, cleansed of deadly sin and ready for heaven, you (as a non-Catholic) must persevere in that state. You must avoid all future mortal sin, or you must regain the state of grace by having perfect contrition (sorrow and repentance) for the mortal sins you commit, since you lack access to sacramental confession. If you are not in a state of grace at death, you will not be saved.
